Larry D. Housman is a financial advisor and team leader of the Housman Group at the Paducah office of Baird. He brings more than 35 years of experience to the table when meeting with his clients in 32 states. Although today's technology advancements have brought many conveniences to the business world, Larry prefers occasional face-to-face visits to get caught up on his clients' lives whenever possible.

While growing up in western Kentucky, Larry frequented his granddad's sign company, watching the sign painters' hand-paint the signs. Larry also enjoyed the years he spent learning and working in the drugstores run by his dad and his business partner. This was a time in the world of pharmacies after the soda fountains, but before the big box stores, a time when the owners knew the customers'; names and were part of the community. The value of that cohesiveness between a business and its patrons was something that he learned early on. Today, that bond between Larry and his clients is formed through the dialog that goes on during the three stages of a successful plan: conversation or information gathering, implementation and monitoring.

At the Housman Group we believe in the value of information and education. For 20 years we have hosted a widely listened-to radio show called "Dollars & Sense," aired on Thursdays and Saturdays as well as podcasted. The show breaks down many of today’s complexities of the financial world and shares the Housman's’ opinion on how current events may affect your financial plan.

Larry and his wife Kelly have been married for 34 years and have four adult children and one granddaughter. They all are UK Wildcat grads except the youngest daughter, she will be a Murray State University graduate. Larry and Kelly attend Lone Oak First Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon and is on the finance committee. On Larry's off time he can be found with his family grilling or boating on one of the local lakes. One hobby that Larry enjoys, going back to the days of his granddad's sign company, is the lost art of hand-pinstriping and hand-lettering.

Brent Housman, a Senior Vice President and financial advisor with the Housman Group in the Paducah office of Baird, brings more than 27 years' worth of financial experience to his practice. He sees his primary roles within the Housman group as providing collaborative advice to help their clients achieve their financial goals, navigate through the accumulation and distribution phases of retirement, and efficiently transfer assets to their heirs.

A Paducah native, Brent graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School. He completed his bachelor's degree at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, and earned his MBA through Murray State University. In addition to his MBA, Brent has earned his Series 7 and 63, and 65 licenses.

Brent and his wife, Sarah, have been married for 26 years and have four children. He is very active in his church and community, having held board positions with Beyond Uganda, Kiwanis (who named him Kiwanian of the Year), the Paducah Chamber of Commerce, the CHC LTAC Hospital, and the Boy Scouts of America, where he is an Eagle Scout. Brent was a member of Leadership Paducah Class #33. He also served two terms in the Kentucky House of Representatives and was named a Kentucky Colonel. In his spare time, Brent enjoys taking part in his children’s activities, traveling and going to the lake.

Shannon Vaughn is a Client Specialist for the Housman Group at the Paducah office of Baird. She has been with the firm for 25 years, after earning a double bachelor's degree in Christian ministry and psychology and counseling. Shannon is an integral part of the Housman Group and interacts with clients daily and facilitates a wide variety of inquiries. She offers prompt service and provides personal attention to each client. Shannon works closely with Larry, Brent, and Zack and strives to make the client experience excellent.

A native of Paducah, Shannon and her husband, Jason, have three beautiful children, Madison, John-Caleb, and Noah, as well as two grandchildren. She serves as the Women's Ministry Director at her church as well as making speaking engagements at various Women's Conferences. Shannon is a football fanatic, rooting particularly for the Green Bay Packers and the McCracken County Mustangs.

Angie Fields has been a Client Assistant with the Paducah office of Baird since 2017. Before joining our team, she previously worked for Ballard County Elementary School and Western Kentucky Community & Technical College.

Angie earned her degree in accounting from Western Kentucky Community & Technical College. She has two children, Evan and Rianah. Angie was also a longtime fast-pitch softball coach. In her spare time, Angie loves to hang out at her pool and to travel to Florida with her mom.

Kelly Housman joined the Housman Group as a Branch Operations Assistant in 2017. She supports The Housman Group by greeting clients, assisting the financial advisors with reports and documents needed for client meetings, opening accounts, account maintenance and processing of documents.

Kelly resides in Lone Oak with her husband, Larry. They have four children and two granddaughters. Outside of the office, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, boating, and crafting.
