Giving Back to Paducah & McCracken County

The Housman Group is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work by volunteering our time and using our resources. Our ongoing commitment to building relationships in the community and empowering associates to get involved is central to our culture at Baird and our team. We strive to be the number one advocate for Paducah and McCracken County.

We've engaged with several outstanding organizations, some of which are listed below.

Fund raises to provide basic necessities and educational opportunities to families in Uganda. Brent acts as a Board Chair for Beyound Uganda. Not only does he help locally, but he and his family have been to Uganda many times as hands on volunteers.

Kiwanis is a group of local professionals that work together throughout the year to raise money for community projects and work towards developing Paducah. Their ventures raise enough money to give away scholarships to graduating seniors, bikes to children, and so many more initiatives. Brent is a former President of Kiwanis Club.

The United Way of Western Kentucky serves seven counties- Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Marshall, and McCracken. Their mission is to serve those communities by improving conditions in education, income, and health. Each year our team participates in Project United, which is a community wide day of volunteerism. Brent currently serves on the Board of Directors.

This non-profit organization was established in 1911 and incorporated in 1916. Paducah Day Nursery and Learning Center offers quality care for children or parents with limited resources. Their ultimate goal is to prepare each child for primary and secondary education, and lay the foundation for life success. Zack currently serves as Vice President of the Paducah Day Nursery Board.

Baird Gives Back

Many Baird associates team up during Baird Gives Back Week, an event held annually in the spring, to serve local community organizations that are in need of help. In 2024, associates donated nearly 6,500 volunteer hours to help support non-profit organizations and individuals across the firm’s global footprint.

This year, our team participated in Baird Gives Back by serving at the Family Service Society. The Family Service Society has been serving Paducah/McCracken County since 1927. They provide assistance to residents in need by assisting with basic needs such as food, clothing, prescription medications, emergency dental, utility assistance, personal hygiene items, household goods and Christmas food assistance.
